We decorated our first Royal Blue wedding this weekend. This bride is ahead of the trend as royal blue is supposed to be a big trend for the 2014 season, so I am certain we will be seeing lots more of this color!!

This wedding was at the Best Western Cairn Croft in Niagara Falls. Set The Mood Decor provided the white satin chair covers with royal blue organza sashes. We also did the head table and cake table draping with icicle lights and the royal blue skinny organza swags on the head table just to bring everything together.

Congrats to Amie and Ryan on their wedding, we wish them all the best!!!

This weekend was the beginning of a super busy wedding season!!! The setup was a classic white look, icicle lights on the head table and cake table with some black and rhinestone embellishments at the focal points. We also had the opportunity to do our triangle style backdrop, which is not ordered to often, so it was a fabulous change. We added some of the rhinestone mesh to the backdrop to complete the look, plus it matched the brides centerpieces. Our finishing touches were the vases for the bouquets at the head table and tulip petals in purple and white. Thank you to the bride and groom and congrats! The venue was Club Italia in Niagara Falls.

We have been very busy lately working on our 2013 packages, which include our new chandelier backdrop, seen below. A rustic centerpiece with sticks and mason jars, which will be a rental, (photo’s coming soon) and a tea party centerpiece, coming soon.

We have also been working on sharing our items with brides out of our general area by starting up an Etsy store – Rocheleau Designs by Set The Mood Decor. Our store will be featuring wedding items, baby shower items, holiday decor and home decor. We have just started with wedding and holiday and are slowly adding more items.

In between all of this we are doing a full holiday decor setup – to feature photo’s of how we decorate for Christmas, some new styling in our house and planning a reception for my very own mom in June 2013.

Friday we got to decorate one of our favorite venues Belcroft Estates & Event Centre. Trish and I worked on what she wanted for her flowers and decor for over a year and the day had finally come. This was a full service wedding for Set The Mood Decor; we provided the bridal flowers, ceremony decor and reception decor. Making Trish’s day a tiny bit more simple.
We were happy to provide all of the bridal flowers. We started with the idea for the bridesmaids bouquets with a plum tipped rose in the center of the bouquet with plum spider mums around it. We couldn’t just do one rose as the bouquets would be to tiny so we added a little more but kept the overall idea. We took that and then planned the brides bouquet with the opposite the mum in the center and then an arrangement of different fall colored flowers around it. We made a small flower girl bouquet for her daughter and boutonniere’s and corsages to complete the bridal flowers.

For the ceremony we did some sheer white draping at the outdoor pavilion and added a few of the plum bows to tie all of the decor together. Check out the planters that the bride and groom made!!! I need a pair for my house.

The reception space is a rustic barn so we tried to stay rustic with the colors and decor. We provided white satin pillowcase style chair covers, for the wedding feel and then plum organza sashes and table runners, bringing in the color. We did head table draping with icicle lights and full plum organza swag. The venue is already full of icicle lights so we just added to the look. Behind the head table we did a small frame of icicle lights and sheer white swag. It was not a formal backdrop but went with the theme and framed the bride and groom for photo’s at their head table. It was also setup so that if they wanted to open the large barn window they could, so also still functional.

Today we decorated for a Bridal shower – the bride is having a destination wedding so her mom wanted the shower to really be extra special.

This was at the Grantham Lions Club in St. Catharines. Set The Mood Decor provided the white satin pillowcase style chair covers, the head table and cake table draping with icicle lights and black organza swag.

All of the beautiful details where done by the bride and her family, including all of the jewelry for the centerpieces – what a great job!!!

Congrats to Trish and Bryan!!!

We provided a hot pink rose bouquet for the bride and light pink rose bouquets for the bridesmaids, they had a little bit of hot pink on the tips.

We also decorated the head table and cake table with draping in sheer white linen, icicle lights, a little hot pink side drape and our crystal embellishments.

Our ceremony arrangements where used for the ceremony and then framed the head table at the reception, we jazzed them up with a little hot pink and some crystals.

This was our first plum wedding of 2012 – but there are many to follow. What a popular color!!!

This weekend we were happy to decorate Club Capri in Thorold for Lindsay, congrats.

Set The Mood Decor provided the white satin banquet style chair covers, the plum organza sashes tied in bows. The head table and cake table where draped in sheer white linen with icicle lights, she add the plum swag to stay within her theme. We also spiced up the easel, which just needed that added touch to complete the room.

Here are some photo’s from another wedding that I did this weekend.

White with a bit of Purple, it looked very refreshing.

This wedding we did a backdrop, head table and cake table draping with icicle lights. We also had the pleasure of setting up our crystals centerpieces with the white flower balls. We added a couple purple flowers in different shades and a little purple in the bottom of the vase, just to bring in a little more of the purple theme.

This beautiful wedding was at the Niagara Falls Hilton, it was a pleasure working with the staff there.
