Friday we got to decorate one of our favorite venues Belcroft Estates & Event Centre.  Trish and I worked on what she wanted for her flowers and decor for over a year and the day had finally come.  This was a full service wedding for Set The Mood Decor; we provided the bridal flowers, ceremony decor and reception decor.  Making Trish’s day a tiny bit more simple.
We were happy to provide all of the bridal flowers.  We started with the idea for the bridesmaids bouquets with a plum tipped rose in the center of the bouquet with plum spider mums around it.  We couldn’t just do one rose as the bouquets would be to tiny so we added a little more but kept the overall idea.  We took that and then planned the brides bouquet with the opposite the mum in the center and then an arrangement of different fall colored flowers around it.  We made a small flower girl bouquet for her daughter and boutonniere’s and corsages to complete the bridal flowers.

For the ceremony we did some sheer white draping at the outdoor pavilion and added a few of the plum bows to tie all of the decor together.  Check out the planters that the bride and groom made!!! I need a pair for my house.

The reception space is a rustic barn so we tried to stay rustic with the colors and decor.  We provided white satin pillowcase style chair covers, for the wedding feel and then plum organza sashes and table runners, bringing in the color.  We did head table draping with icicle lights and full plum organza swag.  The venue is already full of icicle lights so we just added to the look.  Behind the head table we did a small frame of icicle lights and sheer white swag.  It was not a formal backdrop but went with the theme and framed the bride and groom for photo’s at their head table.  It was also setup so that if they wanted to open the large barn window they could, so also still functional.

Congrats to the happy couple!!!

Today we got to be a small part of Michelle and Adam’s special day, Congrats.  Set The Mood Decor was there for the full day, we did all of the bridal flowers, pew balls at the church, venue decor and centerpieces.

Michelle’s bouquet consisted of red roses, red gerbera, white alstro and white mini calla lilies.  The bridesmaids had white roses and white alstro with some other small white filler flowers.  The red brought in the red theme which was also the color of the bridesmaids dresses.

The venue was Club Capri in Thorold to complete their vision at the venue we provided white satin chair covers with red satin sashes.  Full Head Table Cake Table Draping in sheer white linen with spot lights.  We completed the tables with some red satin for the pop of color and out crystal embellishments and crystal chandeliers for the head table.  Set The Mood Decor also provided a fancy style backdrop with red sating accent.

For the centerpieces we went with an Eiffel tower vase and an arrangement on top.  The arrangement included, roses, alstro, spider mums, green and white fillers.

Thank you to the bride and groom for letting us be a part of their special day!!! We wish them all the best!

alstro, bouquets, boutonnieres, fresia, hydrangeas, rectangle centerpieces, roses

This weekend we got to setup for Mel and Andy – we have been planning this wedding for over a year, so it was very exciting.

We had the opportunity to do all of the bridal flowers, the bride, maid of honor, 7 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls; plus a whole bunch of boutonniere’s and corsages.

The bouquets where made of green and ivory roses, fresia, alstro, and bouvardia.  (The bride had hydrangeas added to her bouquet).

Check out our youtube video:     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5uL6gd3_N8

The reception was in the Mess Hall at the Canadian Forces College in North York.

For the decor we provided white satin pillowcase chair covers, which completed the room and gave it the elegant feeling.  We also did our standard head table draping with spot lights.

For the centerpieces we did 2 long rectangle vases with hydrangeas, roses, alstro and fresia.  At the end of every centerpiece we had candles and our tall skinny vases with rose petals inside.  We also had our new silver heart table # holders with table #’s from our online shopping site.
