Black vs. White and the compromise

Our second wedding was a mix of black, white and our magenta orchid color.   The planning process of this wedding contained the bride and groom competing between black and white.  After a bit of discussion and showing colors I think we came up with a great compromise and mixture.

Congrats to the bride and groom!

Set The Mood Decor provided;  black satin chair covers, magenta satin sashes, head table draping and cake table draping with icicle lights.  Don’t forget about the table runners to bring everything together.

Beautiful Niagara Falls Backdrop

What better backdrop then Niagara Falls.   Last weekend was our first wedding at Elements on the Falls restaurant.   We did a fancy style backdrop behind the head table to hide the visible kitchen area; but the real backdrop is the view of the Canadian Falls, that feel like it’s an arms reach away, it is so close.   We also provided white satin pillowcase style chair covers and whipped up some quick centerpieces that included a picasso calla lily, ivory and purple roses.
Congrats to an amazing bride and groom.

This weekend was a real pop of color!

This weekend we had several weddings including many DIY rentals but we are featuring the one that really popped.

The bride for this wedding knew what she wanted and even I was a little surprised by the color but after the full setup and seeing the bridesmaids dresses I realized this was the perfect color for this wedding.

Kelly Green, black, white and damask was the overall feel for this wedding and it was dramatic and gorgeous.

Set The Mood Decor provided the black satin pillowcase style chair covers, the Kelly green sashes, head table and cake table in sheer white voile with spot light; full black swags and a touch of the green on the head table as well.

Congrats to a wonderful bride and groom and their entire family!

Spring pinks and purples

This weekend was a great rendition of spring.  We had the pleasure of doing a full service wedding; ceremony decor, bridal flowers, reception decor and centerpieces.

The bridal flowers were a mix of garden roses,  carnations and freesia.  The centerpieces were the same with dark purple hydrangeas as well.

The ceremony was outdoors so we setup a backdrop to frame out the bride and groom.   The weather held up which was a blessing.

The ceremony and reception were at Liuna Gardens.  The reception had our fancy style backdrop and classic white draping on all of the tables.  Icicle lights on the head table and cake table with candles everywhere.  Some finishing touches like mirrors and brooches can be seen in the numerous photos.

Congrats to this wonderful couple.

Elegant Peacock Wedding – A great start to the 2014 wedding season

Last weekend was a great start to the 2014 wedding season with a peacock themed wedding, but with an elegant twist and some perfect pops of color.

The bouquets included white roses, raspberry roses, peacock feathers, dendrobium turquoise orchids, cymbidium green orchids and green hypericum berries.  The brides bouquet was completed with crystal embellishments for that little bit of extra bling.  The men had a nice matching sequence that of course included peacock feathers.  A big thank you to 808 Photography for providing a few of the gorgeous bouquet shots!

The ceremony and reception took place at Marquis Gardens in Anacaster.  The ceremony was setup with a sheer white backdrop and a triangle at the focal point to create a focal point to the ceremony.  We also included some stands draped in white material with vases and flower balls all dressed up to match the bride and grooms theme.  The bride made the pew bows which tied everything together and had the perfect amount of crystal embellishment.

For the reception we added our fancy style chandelier backdrop which followed down onto the head table with our mini chandeliers for the head table.  We completed the final touches in the reception with a dendrobium orchid in the centerpiece as well as some rhinestone napkin rings.  The bride custom made the chargers for under the centerpiece to bring in the peacock feather.

We are so happy to been a part of this special day for Shauna and James and wish them all the best as husband and wife!

Whoops I meant Fabric Flowers

On my last blog post I wrote that we were offering paper flowers, probably because of all of the gorgeous paper flower backdrops I have been seeing…..

but what I meant to post was we are offering fabric flowers!  Which is also becoming a very popular craze.  The nice thing about fabric flowers is that you can get them in so many color options and match them very closely to a dress or an accessory in your wedding.

Here is an image of a recent bouquet for the fall made from burlap for all of the rustic fall brides out there.

Today was our first 2014 wedding!

Our wedding today was at the Double Tree in Niagara Falls and the brides vision, was white winter, birch, simplistic and elegant.  We do really love the look of white and all of her details really completed the look.

Set The Mood Decor provided the head table and receiving table draping, spot lights under the head table and the triangle style backdrop.

The backdrop lighting was provided by AMV Productions.  The table runners and the dark grey embellishments around the backdrop and focal points of the head table are from Gala Decor, who had the perfect grey color for the bride.

Congrats to the bride and groom!

I hope their vision came to life on their special day.

It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas

Set The Mood Decor was in the holiday mood this week.  We decorated not 1 not 2 but 3 trees at a venue and added a few additional accessories to the lobby.  The look will be complete once all of the poinsettia are added!

Our trees are all the same theme – red, silver, gold with a touch of white.  The red is just the right pop.  One tree is set up with a more modern look of red satin bows, it is surely an impact statement.

Happy Holiday Decorating!
