We decorated our first Royal Blue wedding this weekend. This bride is ahead of the trend as royal blue is supposed to be a big trend for the 2014 season, so I am certain we will be seeing lots more of this color!!

This wedding was at the Best Western Cairn Croft in Niagara Falls. Set The Mood Decor provided the white satin chair covers with royal blue organza sashes. We also did the head table and cake table draping with icicle lights and the royal blue skinny organza swags on the head table just to bring everything together.

Congrats to Amie and Ryan on their wedding, we wish them all the best!!!

This weekend was the beginning of a super busy wedding season!!! The setup was a classic white look, icicle lights on the head table and cake table with some black and rhinestone embellishments at the focal points. We also had the opportunity to do our triangle style backdrop, which is not ordered to often, so it was a fabulous change. We added some of the rhinestone mesh to the backdrop to complete the look, plus it matched the brides centerpieces. Our finishing touches were the vases for the bouquets at the head table and tulip petals in purple and white. Thank you to the bride and groom and congrats! The venue was Club Italia in Niagara Falls.

This wedding is from a few years back. I thought I would post it as I have had several brides asking about the triangle backdrop style. This particular wedding was clean and simple yet elegant in all white. The venue was White Oaks in Niagara On The Lake.

Sometimes you just need a punch of color at your wedding. The bride from this Saturday; Stephanie requested that Set The Mood Decor provide sashes and table runners in satin turquoise, with a small touch also added to the head table and cake table at the focal points.

Here is a before and after of the room. It is two completely different looks but what a punch of color. Congrats to the happy couple. The venue was the Oakville Convention Center.

I have been very busy making some faux flower bouquets. One of the main things I started doing when we first started my business was faux flowers and I haven’t worked with them in a while; mind you I have tons in my basement.

Wow – it has been a very long time since I have done a blog post. To start of 2013 we got to decorate for an absolutely fabulous lady – Diane. I first met Diane when I decorated and did flowers for her son and daughter in law. When she started planning her wedding she thought of me; which was a pleasant surprise.

Once we had our consultation I knew Diane was all about pink, bling, sweetheart roses and just plain glam!!!! So that is what we gave her! Set The Mood Decor provided the backdrop for the ceremony, with bling at the focal points. The fresh flower arrangements and the stands, draped and all blinged up with rhinestone mesh at the top of the stands and in the arrangements. The candelabra’s where the brides great find, which looked amazing. We also made all of the little pink pew bouquets which where used on the head tables after the ceremony.

In the reception room we just did a little extra adding the ivory organza sashes tied in bows and the bling chair wraps.

It was my pleasure working with Diane and being able to make her ceremony come to life. I wish her and her husband all the best!!

This weekend we provided the centerpieces and a money-box for Natalie’s white bling sparkle wedding at Marquis Gardens in Ancaster. We provided our Bling centerpieces with led lights and white rose flower balls. They matched the rest of the decor perfectly. We where happy to bring a little bling to this wedding!

We have been very busy lately working on our 2013 packages, which include our new chandelier backdrop, seen below. A rustic centerpiece with sticks and mason jars, which will be a rental, (photo’s coming soon) and a tea party centerpiece, coming soon.

We have also been working on sharing our items with brides out of our general area by starting up an Etsy store – Rocheleau Designs by Set The Mood Decor. Our store will be featuring wedding items, baby shower items, holiday decor and home decor. We have just started with wedding and holiday and are slowly adding more items.

In between all of this we are doing a full holiday decor setup – to feature photo’s of how we decorate for Christmas, some new styling in our house and planning a reception for my very own mom in June 2013.
